WOLF HOLDING EBONY

One of the Christmas’s Coleen flew out to be with us, Ebony loves Coleen. When we bought her she was so tiny she would fit into our cupped hands, she could never eat enough food and when upset for most of her life would eat tissue out of a trash can.

So in the early morning’s Coleen would move from her bed to a recliner in the family room. I did not know that Ebony would leave her bed in our bedroom, go out to the family room, walk down the blinds over the dinning room sliding glass door, rattling them, then go over to the sofa & run her body up and down them a huge noise & finally stop in front of Coleen & say, “WOLF.”  As, one morning, Coleen was in the front room, in my work studio, on the recliner & did not answer Ebony. This was very upsetting to Ebony, who immediately came in our bedroom & said WOLF. Now I did not know Ebony could even say wolf or ever had done so. I did not know there was a delama , that Wolf was missing, or even Ebony that had named Coleen wolf. I scolded her for waking me up & went back to sleep.

Mystery solved after getting up and having Coleen fill me in on their little communications. When we had brought Ebony home Coleen held her so much she was her second mom &  much better than the original. She feed her often, and we gave her a flea bath immediately. She was covered in them. So here she is our little plump Ebony. She never did get over eating every piece of food avaliable.

SIENCE THE ROBBERY MANY OF OUR PICTURES ARE GONE FOREVER, GOTTA BACK THOSE PHOTOS UP, GUYS. WHEN I FIND A PHOTO OF COLEEN WITH EBONY, I SHOULD FIND ONE IN A PHOTO ALBUM, I WILL POST IT.

IN THIS PHOTO EBONY IS A FEW MONTH AND BIG ENOUGH TO GET A BATH IN THE TUB WITH ARCHIE. WHEN HE FIRST SAW HER HE WOULD WALK CAREFULLY AROUND her, AND I KNOW HE MUST HAVE THOUGHT, “POOR MOM THINKS THIS is A DOG.” THE DAY HE AND I WERE PLAYING (SELLING REALESTATE TOOK UP MOST OF MY TIME) EBONY CAME ROARING (SQUEQUE) AT HIM TO PROTECT ME.

OH! BOY! IT IS A DOG. THEN HE TAUGHT HER HOW TO PLAY, TUG THE BEAR, AND THEY WERE BEST OF BUDDIES.

YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM EBONY SOON, AS SHE HAS INFORMED ME. BUT FOR NOW I MUST GET BACK TO WORK THAT PAINTING, “PORTRAIT OF MY ANCESTERS”

As you can see I have replaced the photo of Ebony getting her first bath as I finally did find the one above. The other is posted in a newer post.
